  MOHELA sympathizes with those impacted by the recent wild fires. If you reside in a designated disaster area declared by FEMA, you may be able to temporarily postpone your student loan monthly payment. Contact us today to determine if you qualify or to discuss other options available.

• Tax Reporting Information

  • Interest Paid for the 2024 tax reporting year will be available by 1/31/2025.

  • Log in to your online account to access the amount of interest paid on your student loans.

  • Customers who paid $600 or more will be provided a 1098e via your preferred delivery method - paperless or US mail.

  • All customers who made payments toward interest will get an email notification when your interest paid amount is available online!

• SERVICING PLATFORM TRANSFER

  We apologize for any inconvenience during the servicing platform transfer. Due to the timing, an Administrative Forbearance will be placed on your account and 0% interest rate for the period in which your account is unavailable.

  MOHELA will continue to update the Home Page with more information as available. We will also send email notification when your account is available online.
  
  

• Pathway Variable Rate Loans

  The One-Month Variable Index effective May 1, 2025 are as follows:

  • Pathway (SoFi):  4.44%

  • Pathway (SLMA):  4.5%

  With any change to the variable rate index, variable rate loans will re-amortize and a repayment schedule will be provided that includes your new monthly payment, interest rate (margin plus index), and the effective date of your new monthly payment amount.

  Notice to customers with variable loans using LIBOR:

• Public Service Loan Forgiveness

  Public Service Loan Forgiveness is not available on private student loans.  Important Notice: The recent federal student loan announcement regarding one-time student loan cancellation is applicable to federal student loans only and does not include private student loans. 

  Please note, private student loans are not eligible for a refund of payments made during the Covid-19 Forbearance.
